Job description
We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic intern interested in developing a career within marketing to join our Wokingham office on a full-time paid basis (hours: Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30). We are a small team currently so the role will be varied and very hands-on but this also means there will be plenty of opportunity to develop in the areas that you wish to.
We are offering our internship on a 3-month basis initially but there is potential for this to turn into a permanent full-time role thereafter for a candidate who shows good potential.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting in the development of seasonal marketing campaigns for the epoints website, including plans for how we promote these on the website and using our available communication channels.
- Assisting in the management, improvement and expansion of our social media channel strategy, primarily focused on Facebook and Twitter but with potential to branch into Instagram & Pinterest.
- Creating regular engaging content for our upcoming consumer blog.
- Support the email marketing strategy by helping to build and decide on content for various campaigns.
- Measuring & assessing the effectiveness of current marketing activities and activities and using findings to suggest improvements.
- Carrying out competitor analysis of the retailers that we feature in our online store.
- Briefing agencies on work that we require for marketing.
You will gain experience using the following tools:
- Mailchimp (email campaign platform)
- Hootsuite (social media marketing platform)
- Mandrill (automated email platform)
- WordPress (content management platform)
- Adobe Photoshop (for creating simple assets)
Please note: This is a full-time office-based role and therefore, you will need to be a commutable distance from Wokingham, Berkshire.

Epoints is a fast-growing e-commerce website, offering customers an extra 10% off products from 30+ major retailers including Amazon, Argos, John Lewis etc. when they purchase through our online shop. We ensure we always give the customer the best price, so even if a retailer is running a sale, we'll even give our customers a 10% discount on the retailer's sale price.
We think we've got a pretty strong proposition and we're hoping whoever we take on will be able to help us get the message out to new customers and keep our current client base engaged!
Desired profile
No specific qualifications are required but you should have:
- Excellent communication and written skills with a fluent command of the English language
- Analytical skills - the ability to look at numbers and identify patterns
- Good organisational skills for prioritising workload and tasks
- A positive can-do attitude - work can be very hands-on and busy as we're a small fast-moving company
Though not required, any of the following would be a plus:
- Any marketing experience already acquired
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop or other creative tools
- Knowledge of Instagram & Pinterest social platforms
