The GENERATION EUROPE BU (BU GEN) combines ENGIE’s thermal generation activities in Europe in a single entity to meet the business challenges of the energy transition . The Business Unit’s scope of activity covers the management and operation of natural gas, coal, biomass and large-scale Combined Heat Power assets. It is a cross-functional Business Unit currently operating about 20 GW across 8 countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal and Spain) with a workforce of 1500 employees. The mission of the Transversal Business Controller BU Generation – Support functions  within the Finance Department  is to :

Main objectives
• Contribute to process and financial structure improvements through the deployment of various projects
• Contribute to performance improvements

Main activities & responsibilities
• Coordinate the deployment of harmonized automated reporting for the SG&A BU GEN reporting (70 MEUR)
• Assure Master data management and supervise day-to-day activities
• Contribute to the follow up of the cash dashboard, invoices sent/paid on time
• Coordinate SLA processes within the BU
• Assist on financial and business reportings
• Feed & reconcile data with Group tools (Smart/One Controlling)
• Participate actively on various improvement projects
Contribute to ad-hoc analysis upon request

Experience/diploma
• University degree: master level (preferably in Finance / Economy) or equivalent by experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance (accounting / controlling)


Technical / Business skills
• Good knowledge of finance, consolidation & accounting
• Knowledge of tax/VAT matters is a plus
• Profound knowledge of SAP (FI/CO), SMART

Behavioral skills
• Ability to make accurate and relevant financial analysis, assessments and judgments
• Capability to summarize (synthetic mindset)
• Pro-active, flexible and dynamic

People management skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Team player
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Languages
• Fluent in English, French and Dutch.

Specific business understanding
Knowledge of Energy/Service businesses is a plus
