The Role: Tax Advisor-Partnership

Purpose
Acquisitions of SoCore, Infinity, Longwood, OSU as well as and ENGIE’s strategy of Design Build Sell Operate (DBSO) have substantially increased the number, scope, and complexity of partnership federal and state income tax compliance filings. The incumbent will build specialized partnership expertise that can be leveraged in M&A, dispositions, compliance, and financial reporting activities.

Essential Job Functions
·  Prepare ENGIE’s federal partnership’s tax compliance, and build expertise with complex income allocations and capital account maintenance.
·  Manage outside tax partner relationships to build trust and transparency including meeting information reporting deadlines and working with their tax advisors.
·  Managing outside accounting relationship to minimize ENGIE’s external costs while ensuring ENGIE’s internal work is held to highest IRS standards.
·  Reconcile tax capital accounts to books and validate deferred taxes.
·  Review and validate partnership models and forecasts
·  Monitor partnership tax legislation

Requirements

·  Knowledge and experience in partnership taxation is essential. Tax knowledge and experience in renewables is a plus. Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities with critical deadlines. Highly adaptable to change. Works well independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
·  Experience with Onesource or Corptax or equivalent tax software, exposure to SAP and BNA Research tools a plus.
·  Ability to explain tax regulations to non-tax experts

Essential Physical Abilities

·  Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
·  Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
·  Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
·  Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
·  Could involve some lifting.

Education/Experience

·  Bachelor Degree required. Accounting and Finance preferred
·  CPA/MA/MBA preferred
·  7-10 years of accounting and/or finance experience
