Space and Aeronautic Applications

The Nuclear Entity of Tractebel diversifies its product portfolio with the objective to capture more value from his existing expertise.

In Space and Aeronautics, our ambition is to become a new partners for the major players by levering our expertise to this new sectors.  

You will join a dynamic team and take a key role in achieving our ambition to further develop our activities.  You will report to the Head of Innovation Lab.

Your function

·  Define and propose to the management a strategy and a business plan for the development of a new product at Tractebel (including key customers, partners, suppliers, internal resources, market share goals…);
·  Identify the technical competence to be developed internally and/or external collaboration to be set-up in order to meet the objective of the business plan;
·  Identify (new) needs for customers and the market;
·  Create, develop and lead a Community of Practice related to the space and aeronautic applications;
·  Develop a networks in the Space and Aeronautic sector including European Space Agency
·  Develop transverse collaboration with other Tractebel Entities and Engie Group’s Entities
·  Do market and technology watch related to his/her product;
·  Be the main technical reference of his/her product internally and externally;
·  Create the appropriate marketing material to promote the product;
·  Participate to business development mission in collaboration with Business Development team;
·  Work closely with the BD&Sales team to prepare bids (in tandem with a sales manager), i.e. drive bids related to the product as the Technical Bid Manager (coordinate the drafting of the technical parts of the tenders, including the costing and the identification of technical risks);
·  Support project execution as technical reference of the product;
·  Keep a global view on his product’s results.

Your profile  

·  You hold as an engineering degree or equivalent.
·  You have relevant professional experience in Nuclear, Space or Aeronautic sector.
·  You are willing to develop relevant network (in Belgium and abroad), occasional short missions abroad.
·  You have relevant experience in marketing, business development and product development.
·  You are bilingual: English and French/Dutch. Knowledge of other languages is welcome.
·  You have good writing and communication skills.
·  You are good at listening to customers. You are able to understand their needs and to propose innovative solutions.
·  You have the sense of priority. You are good at planning simultaneous assignments and you are a good organiser, even in unexpected circumstances.
·  You can deal with stressful situations.
·  You have a great capacity for multicultural human relations.
·  You are willing to travel abroad on short missions.
·  You are flexible in your time schedule.
·  You are pro-active, autonomous, dynamic, motivated and creative.
