What You Can Expect
As our Renewables Engineering Intern, you will have an opportunity to play a critical role in supporting our Renewables Engineering group with technical development, design, and construction of large wind, solar, and energy storage projects throughout North America. The Renewables Engineering Intern can expect to gain valuable engineering experience in the renewable energy industry.
Every day you will participate in engineering design review for utility-scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and energy storage). Learn about various stages of a renewable project’s life cycle (development, construction, and operations). You will attend multi-discipline team meetings to further your understanding of different engineering disciplines and attend site visits to support design reviews, construction review and commissioning activities as needed. You will also learn about different technical aspects of a project (Protection Relays, SCADA, Substations, Transmission, Underground Collection).
What You’ll Bring
· Must be at least a junior or senior working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in electrical engineering with at least a current GPA of 2.8
· Ability to use company computer, be proficient with MS Excel
· Proficiency in AutoCAD
· Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
· Must have the ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams
Additional Details
· The internship work term will be from January 2025 to May 2025
· This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
· Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $21.00-$34.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
