Are you an Industrial or Civil engineer (F/M/X) with a solid background in functional analysis and extensive testing experience ? Do you have expertise or knowledge in cutting-edge energy transition domains like batteries, solar panels, wind energy, thermal processes, hydrogen, and electric vehicles? We’d love to meet you! We are currently looking for a (F/M/X) Functional Analyst to join our team at Laborelec in Linkebeek, Brussels suburbs, Belgium.   

 

About the team:

Join a self-organized, agile team of 10 skilled professionals with complementary profiles, fostering collaboration, diverse perspectives, and innovative thinking.

 

Your responsibilities:  

Join our mission to develop innovative solutions for our customers and Laborelec. We are seeking a talented Functional Analyst to join our team, focusing on functional analysis and testing related to the energy transition.   

 

Our team works on exciting projects such as:  

·  Leading the way in smart charging of electric vehicles, considering grid constraints and local renewable energy. 
·  Enhancing B2B industrial energy management systems (EMS) and optimizing the scheduling of flexible appliances like batteries and green hydrogen production. 
·  Developing energy management systems for B2C home appliances, including personal batteries, cars, washing machines, and boilers. 
·  Creating solutions to monitor, preserve, and extend the health of industrial equipment. 
·  Designing software and mathematical solutions to estimate the mechanical stress of physical assets.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and user stories by collaborating with business experts in energy assets. 
·  Act as a liaison between clients, the team, and developers, ensuring clear communication and understanding of customer needs. 
·  Act as a proactive and collaborative team player within a self-organized, agile team, contributing to a culture of initiative, entrepreneurship and continuous improvement.
·  Leverage your expertise in testing to write and execute test scenarios, create test plans, organize tests, and coordinate team efforts to define priorities and maintain focus. 

 

Your profile:  

·  Industrial or Civil Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in functional analysis and strong testing experience. 
·  Willing to learn and to develop knowledge or experience in energy transition domains such as batteries, solar panels, wind energy, thermal processes, hydrogen, and electric vehicles. 
·  Professional skills include a structured and analytical approach to work, strong communication abilities (both written and oral), a customer-oriented mindset, and the ability to take initiative and work effectively as a team player. 
·  Proven experience working in an agile environment
·  Influencing skills to determine the best solutions and achieve common goals
·  Proficiency in French or Dutch, with very good English skills.
