What You Can Expect

In your role, you will work with the Sustainability, and Operations teams, focusing on documenting environmental and stakeholder activities. You will be responsible for creating detailed environmental and social action plans for all operating assets, and documenting interactions with stakeholders such as landowners and public officials. In this role you will also be trained to deliver Climate and Biodiversity Fresk workshops to empower employees with a deeper knowledge about the delicate balance between climate, the natural world, and society.

 

You will also be responsible for building community communication reports with site operations, transparently sharing information about ENGIE, details about the projects, and local activities within the communities we operate in.

 

Additionally, you will assist with project development, due diligence, evaluating sites from an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) perspective. Your role will involve cross collaboration with geo dispersed teams and stakeholders across different business lines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Create action plans for operating assets
·  Document interactions with stakeholders
·  Build community communications reports for site operations
·  Assist with ESG due diligence for project development
·  Deliver Climate and Biodiversity Fresk workshops

 

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

·  Currently pursuing a degree with a minimum three (3) years of coursework in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related subjects
·  Experience with decarbonization quantification and implementation
·  Experience with communications and creating public facing content
·  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
·  Experienced with conducting presentation and training
·  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

 

 

 

 

Additional Details

·  The internship work term will be from March 31, 2025, to June 27, 2025, and require a minimum of 20 hours per week. This position is a temporary contract with no guarantee of future employment beyond the initial work term
·  This role is eligible for remote work assignments temporarily
·  Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

 

 

Compensation

Hourly Range:   $32.00 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
