Context of this role
Our Runcorn site in Cheshire is one of main packaging sites within our business and, along with our site in Belfast, it hosts the keg plant where we bottle, can and keg the famous black stuff- Guinness. The Electrical Engineer will work as part of a small but semi-autonomous team who are responsible for operating the plant equipment as well as managing our maintenance, quality and information systems.
Responsibilities of this role
The Kegging Technician will be work in the kep plant where they will be working as part of a small team in a multi-faceted role where they will both operate plant equipment whilst working on its maintenance and repair.
They will also be the first point of call for any breakdowns or repairs on the site and they will lead planned maintenance pieces of work whilst consistently having an eye for continuous improvement in order to ensure our site is running as smoothly as possible. This individual will also be pay considerable attention to Health and Safety, ensuring the plant is running to relevant risk management and Health and Safety legislation.
This role is offered on a shift-based rotation (including nights) covering weekdays and weekends.
The ideal candidate will be/have:
· A time-served Electrical Engineer, ideally with an HNC or HND.
· A real team-player with a keen attention to detail
· Equally, someone who is comfortable working independently
· Preference will be given to those who have worked in an FMCG environment
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
