Our Cluster Business Service Finance (CBS Finance) organization provides full scope of financial processes to all DANONE Group Business Units (CBUs) in the area of Financial Control (General Ledger, Interco, Fixed Assets and Material and Stock), Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury & Finance, Tax and Internal Control. We operate in three clusters: Poland & Baltics, Nordics and Eastern Europe.
For our Cluster Business Service (CBS Finance) for Tax Department we are looking for:
COUNTRY TAX MANAGER (NORDICS)
Working closely with other CBS teams and local business you would be responsible for coordination of all tax issues in Danone businesses located in Nordic cluster (incl. Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway). Your main role would be to ensure tax compliance with group policies, applicable regulations and laws, and lead process improvement projects in the area of taxes.
Key responsibilities of your new role:
· Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations (incl. current and deferred corporation tax, VAT, WHT, transfer pricing)
· Engage with other CBS teams and local businesses to ensure finance processes are tax compliant and promote awareness and understanding of tax issues/requirements
· Coordinate the cooperation with local tax consultants
· Monitor any legislative changes and implement accordingly
· Identify, manage and mitigate tax risks and exposures
· Identify and deliver tax opportunities
· Manage and develop good relationship with tax authorities and manage tax audits
· Establish effective procedures and deliver process improvements
What you will need to succeed:
· A University degree in Tax / Economics / Finance / Accounting or equivalent
· 3-5 years working experience in an accounting or finance management position either gained as an in-house tax manager or BIG4
· Chartered tax advisor qualification would be a plus
· Sound knowledge of Polish and international taxes
· Knowledge of Nordic taxes would be a strong asset
· Strong business and commercial acumen
· Accounting ERP Systems knowledge (SAP or Navision would be a plus)
· Passion for improvement, self-motivated, goal-oriented and proactive
· Strong analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills
· Highly structured thinker and communicator with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a simple way
· Problem-solving mindset with ability to influence different stakeholders
· Fluent English & Polish
