Summary of Position:

The position is part of a four person tax function primarily engaged in all US income-tax related work for all Danone business units in North America. This will include ASC 740 income tax calculations, all facets of Federal and State tax compliance and responding to governmental agency notices.

Responsibilities:

• Calculate ASC 740 Tax Provisions and prepare workpapers supporting Current and Deferred Tax
• Assist in the preparation of all Federal and State income tax returns for US entities
• Calculate Federal and State quarterly estimates and annual extensions
• Respond to tax authority notices and nexus questionnaires
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations of all tax-related accounts
• Gather information for tax audits
• Tax Research and Planning to provide companies tax advice/guidance and tax savings

Key Internal and External Relationships:

• Internal Relationships: North America Business units Controllers, Accounts Receivable Department, Accounts Payable Department, Payroll Department, General Accounting and Global Tax Team.
• External Relationships: PriceWaterhouseCoopers Tax Auditors

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferably with an Internship in Tax Accounting
• 1 year of corporate tax related Public Accounting experience preferred
• Strong Accounting and MS Excel knowledge
• Good analytical and proactive problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to multi- task and meet deadlines
• Detail oriented with strong organization skills
• Self-motivated Team Player requiring minimal supervision
• SAP and OneSource Tax software experience a plus
