Danone North America is looking for a Quality Engineer--Minster in their Minster, Ohio manufacturing facility.

Job Description:

The Quality Engineer will ensure compliance to Danone North America quality standards, ODA and FSSC 22000 standards (e.g., FSMA), support manufacturing operations, investigate any abnormalities within the process, perform root-cause analyses (e.g., 5 whys), develop and implement food safety and quality programs, ensure that all employees maintain good manufacturing practices, collaborate with production (cell team) and lab personnel, attend various quality meetings, hold daily report reviews and conduct on-the-job trainings.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for several audit-related duties (e.g., perform quality audits (GMP, organic, Non-GMO, FSMA, FSSC 22000, AIB, Glass/Brittle Plastic), lead WAFO audits, provide support for safety, develop/complete actions resulting from the audits and create and implement sustainable standards/processes).

Other responsibilities require stamina and endurance (e.g., standing, walking, climbing, crawling, bending, kneeling, crouching, etc.) for long hours, and the availability to work flexible hours (e.g., late nights and weekends).

Specific Job Duties & Tasks:

·  Effectively communicate with all other plant departments (e.g., quality, processing, packaging, engineering, maintenance, etc.) to ensure proper functioning throughout the process
·  Analyze trends to develop and implement sustainable processes that continually improve plant KPI’s (e.g., TRIR, FGL, ABC, CC/000T, OE, FTR, etc.)
·  Lead RCA problem-solving initiatives with a cross-functional team, delve into root causes for unanticipated issues, and discuss RCAs with plant leadership team
·  Write incident reports including the appraisal of events leading to unforeseen problems, investigate potential determinants (e.g., 5 whys), and construct timelines outlining the sequence of events
·  Develop action plan logs (e.g., assign actions to respective personnel), well-thought out resolutions, revised standards, and prevention plans
·  Maintain Intervention log
·  Perform regular walkthroughs with quality checklist to ensure cleaning standards are maintained
·  Participate in the plant’s daily management system (e.g., plant and department meetings)
·  Serve as a liaison between State Regulatory Agency (ODA)
·  Serve as an active member of Hi-Low problem-solving
·  Ensure adherence to specifications
·  Ensure PM and CILT programs are executed efficiently and timely
·  Develop, design, and coordinate training for all employees (including new hires)
·  Provide support for plant objectives (e.g., SQCDMN)
·  Assist in the development and implementation of FSSC and HAACP initiatives
·  Create, review and modify SOPs as needed
·  Manage and assist with special projects
·  Perform all other assigned tasks/duties

Education:

·  Minimum Requirement : Bachelor’s degree in chemical or environmental engineering, food science, biology or relevant science
·  Professional licenses/certificates ( preferred )
·  FSSC 22000 food safety certification
·  PCQI
