Logistics Transport Manager (location: Haps – fulltime)

About the Job

As a Logistics Transport Manager , you will be responsible for managing the Transportation Process of the Danone Nutricia Factories of Haps & Cuijk.
You will manage a transport operation of approx. 50k tons, meaning aprox. 500mi euros in sales spread out in 90+ destinations all over the globe.

You will be responsible for the Transport Cost Management and Managing the Transport team of 7 people. You will assure the operational daily transportation routine and be responsible for the KPI Management (route cause analysis & action plan implementation).

In this role your main stakeholders will be Warehouse, Finance, Operations Planning etc. and you will be reporting into the Supply Chain Manager.

A sample of your main responsibilities will be:

·  Team management: develop plan, organization improvements, motivation and morale.
·  Strong daily interface with Customer Service team.
·  Management of service providers (carriers, 3P customs, etc).
·  Providing loading execution visibility especially during business critical timings (i.e. Quarter/YE landing)
·  Cost management/budget adherence, and productivity.
·  Ensure core model processes required are strictly followed - system SAP and also non-system like Safety and Quality guidelines.
·  Interface with Danone Central Team – Tender Projects, Budget Reporting, Productivity.
·  Relationship management with Transportation companies.
·  Identify and deliver cost and service improvements through continuous improvements and productivity mindset – process improvement, container optimisation, route efficiencies, haulier / lane options, etc.
·  Liaise with Danone Inbound & Outbound Managers regarding existing & future business needs.
·  Resolve issues impacting Haulier performance + Route Cause Analysis + Action Plan.
·  Develop and Monitor Performance of Hauliers: KPI’s management and monthly performance review (within Supply Chain team and with key partners).
·  Provide financial information including transportation cost forecasts, freight deviation reconciliations and accruals (Rolling Forecast Support).
·  Ensure Hauliers adhere to Danone Safety, Quality & Security procedures
·  Lead formal monthly / quarterly meetings with Hauliers, with minutes and action plans for KPIs out of target.
·  Main KPIs: lead time adherence, OTIF, euro/ton (cost), truck/container fill rate, export documentation execution excellence.

About You

You have obtained a Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar. In addition you have 3+ years of experience in Logistics (warehouse, Transportation & Customer Service) and a solid experience as a people manager.

In addition,

·  Dutch spoken is highly appreciated.
·  Export process knowledge (documentation, certificates, customs clearance)
·  Advance skills on Excel, SAP and TEKDAN (ideally).
