About the Job

We are looking for an intern who will work within our process and technology teamswith afocuson the hydrolysis process for mainly our early life nutrition products. Through supporting this team, you willinteract with a diverse range of departments and gain experience in a company responsible for providing products to consumers globally.

So what will be your main key responsibilities?

·  Planning and performing of lab and pilot plant trials
·  Execute lab and pilot scale trials
·  Understand the process and technology of hydrolysis
·  Identify parameters critical for this process
·  Identify impact on drying
·  Interpreting the impact and conveying to relevant stakeholders:
·  Understand the impact of your findings and communicate to relevant stakeholders
·  Present clear and concise findings & recommendation to a cross-functional community

About You

You are a Master student in Food Science technology or Food Engineering with an understanding of proteins and bioprocesses (especially hydrolysis) as well as some previous experience in laboratory. Experience/expertise in protein or carbohydrate hydrolysis is considered as a plus.You are confident working autonomously in a complex work environment, act proactively and not afraid to communicate with stakeholders. You are a results-oriented person , thriving in an environment where you can solve problems and be continuously challenged . Furthermore, you have strong analytical skills, creative thinking with a ‘Can do’ mindset.

Next to this, there are a few eligibility requirements:

·  Enrolled as a Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
·  You can start as of the start of October 2020 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days a week ;
·  You are fluent in English – written and spoken;
·  You are able to work from Utrecht, the Netherlands if the COVID-19 situation allows us to go to the office.

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance of 450 (HBO students) or 550 (University students) euros per month plus reimbursement of home-work commuting cost in the Netherlands. We do offer relocation to Utrecht, Netherlands and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
