Food systems need to be transformed to be fit for the future. People are increasingly conscious of the environmental and social impacts of their food choices. In parallel, new scientific studies are defining "sustainable diets" that can provide healthy and nutritious food to the growing world population while respecting environmental limits. Regenerative agriculture has a lead role to play in delivering this ambition, by protecting soil, water and biodiversity; respecting animal welfare; and empowering farmers. One of the enablers of this transformation is the Farming for Generations Alliance: 8 leaders from the agricultural value chain have joined forces to create Farming For Generations Alliance.
In this role, you will be part of the Milk and Farming Sustainability Team, who is responsible for global Regenerative Agriculture initiatives as set by the Farming For Generations Alliance to transform our sourcing models towards regenerative agriculture and enable continuous improvement on sustainability. Through supporting this team you will be exposed to a wide and diverse range of agricultural sustainability topics within agronomy including animal and people welfare and the environment. Your main mission is to support the implementation of some of the Regenerative Agriculture initiatives under the supervision of the Milk Sustainability Manager and the Global Regenerative Agriculture Manager.
So, what will be your key responsibilities?
· Support the implementation of local projects and monitor results for the Farming For Generations multi-stakeholders program (70% of the time).
· Consolidate the new Regenerative agriculture baseline for Danone and maintain a database of Regenerative agriculture projects across ingredients (Milk, Dairy ingredients, Plant-based, Fruits, Other).
Your personal deliverables will involve:
· Identification of the most effective way to collect and present key information on a project basis.
· Proactively collecting and analyzing information (for example by interviewing local markets, reviewing literature reviews).
