Nutricia North America, within the Advanced Medical Nutrition division, is looking for Demand Planner in Rockville, MD.

Position Summary:

The Demand Planner is responsible for the creation, analysis, and communication of an optimal base forecast of the demand plan utilizing SAP APO modeling and key figure structure for US and Canada locations. The position lead, in partnership with the Associate Manager, Demand Planning, the collaborative S&OP process with key stakeholders for alignment and creation of optimized total forecast to meet business planning needs and to ensure maximum service at lowest cost. The Demand Planner is responsible to create and maintain an optimal base forecast within an 18-month horizon. The position also models demand for the Innovation and Renovation project.

Essential Functions:

Essential Functions cover North America Nutricia Operations (US and Canada)

·  Demand Planning
·  Create and maintain a rolling 18 month forecast in SAP APO.
·  Analyze and clean historical data such as non-repeating events and stock outs.
·  Optimize system forecast output by maintaining statistical model parameters.
·  Track and report in APO additional customer-based intelligence, competitive impact marketing or sales intelligence to enhance baseline forecast.
·  Maintain both commercial and sample forecasts.
·  Calculate, analyze, and report key performance indicators.
·  Maintain APO related master data in the system based on agreed set parameters and business rules.
·  Work with sales analyst to provide specialized analytical support for Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain on an ad hoc basis.
·  Provide reporting for the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) process.
·  Sales and Operations Planning Process
·  Participate in demand planning and activity management monthly meetings to update and validate the rolling 18 month forecast for quantifies expected to be sold.
·  Prepare and attend meetings with key business stakeholders by providing reviews of past planning performance and gap vs. forecast, participate in the forecast consensus.
·  Analyze and outline deviations from targets in both volumes, help identify root cause and implement corrective action plan with the S&OP team.
·  Develop and animate NPI/Renovation scorecard.
·  Activity Management - Innovation and Renovation Process
·  Support supply chain project tasks.
·  Ensure that demand information for Innovation and Renovation is accounted for within the rolling 18 month forecast in a timely manner. project between global and local key stakeholders according to project timeline so the demand information is reported in a timely manner.
·  Projects/Process
·  Participate in Category Team meetings to gather intelligence for inclusion into the demand forecast.
·  Other projects as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

·  Strong statistical and analytical knowledge.
·  Strong ability to prepare and present data to multiple levels in the organization.
·  Strong analytical skills.
·  Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines.
·  Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
·  Team player, pro-active, doer, and result oriented.
·  Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Power BI. Immediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Supervisory responsibilities:

The Demand Planner does not have direct reports.

Working conditions:

Work is conducted in both office and warehouse environments. The position requires less than 10% domestic and international travel.

Minimum qualifications:

·  Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
·  0-3 years of Demand Planning and/or Sales and Operations Planning.
·  Knowledge of Advanced Planning Systems, i.e. SAP APO is a plus.
