ABOUT THE JOB:

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.  We have an opening for an Automation Engineering Manager based in our Dallas, Texas beverage manufacturing plant.  We areseeking a seasoned and accomplished engineering professional with extensive and current hands-on experience in Automation and Controls Systems design, implementation, asset management, Cybersecurity, and continuous improvement.

 

Position Summary:

·  Effectively support all current manufacturing processes and work with business stakeholders to design and implement new Automation and Controls Systems to improve efficiency, food quality, andfood safety.
·  Maintain corporate automation standard and work towards implementing standard in the manufacturing plant.
·  Develop and maintain automation architecture of manufacturing plants.
·  Owner of OT Cybersecurity monitoring tool and related Cybersecurity KPI
·  Owner of Automation asset Management and asset disaster recovery program
·  Owner of Automation obsolescence program
·  Develop Automation master plan for the plant.
·  Develop preliminary design presentations for project evaluation and securing approval.
·  Interface with all levels of plant and corporate personnel, contractors, suppliers, marketing, R&D, QA and legal departments.
·  Practice sound technical, communication and negotiation skills that ensure the successful implementation of Automation and Control Systems improvement project scope and budget.

 

Additional responsibilities include (but not limited to):

·  Document current Automation and Controls Systems, identify areas for improvement, develop solutions for future states including the latest Automation technology, where applicable, and implement sustaining improvements.
·  Optimize current Automation and Control Systems to meet all customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
·  Enforce corporate automation standard in the all-new automation projects.
·  Master plan development for industrial networking and industrial applications roadmap
·  Work with IS/IT to integrate process and packaging control systems with SAP enterprise resource planning software for materials and production.
·  Utilize contracted resources to ensure the correct expertise is fully utilized to achieve project scope.
·  Effectively interface with multiple cross functional teams including corporate quality, technical services, R&D and with all levels of plant personal.
·  Develop relationships and solicit input into the Automation and Control Systems continuous improvement considerations from key technical resources, plant operations managers, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and operators to facilitate the seamless Automation and Control Systems improvement project implementation into operation.
·  Review automation controls related documents (electrical drawings, functional analysis), HMI design and programming to ensure it adheres to the Automation standard.
·  Set standards on Networking and proper cabling specifications.
·  Develop internal policies, procedures, documentation and facilitating training on current and new Automation and Control Systems across the organization. 
·  Support Danone initiatives and goals as assigned.
·  Travel required up to 10% or as required by the project’s success and schedule.
·  Facilitate Automation and Control System feasibility studies and plant operations impact studies.  Including completion of design concepts, information flow diagrams, and capital estimates. 
·  Develop Automation and Controls Systems documentation including functional descriptions, equipment specifications, standards, and best practices.  
·  Analyze, compare, and recommend Automation and Control Systems engineering proposals. 
·  Develop electrical drawings to support equipment controls upgrade.
·  Enforce Danone OT cybersecurity policies and standards.
·  Participate in Cybersecurity audits and maintain audit reports.
·  Management of vendor access for PLC and SCADA applications.
·  Continuous improvement of Cybersecurity KPI (Vulnerability mitigation, threat detection, access management)
·  Participate in Cybersecurity audits and maintain audit reports.

About you

ABOUT YOU:

·  You have a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and have a minimum five (5) to seven (7) years Automation and Control Systems Engineering Project Management experience required, preferably in CPG beverage/food manufacturing.
·  You have Automation and Control Systems installation, supervision, maintenance, and continuous improvement experience required.
·  You have strong Automation and Control Systems engineering experience in the food, dairy and or pharmaceutical industries. 
·  You have a good understanding of food safety regulations – PMO, 3A and FDA Food Safety knowledge / experience required.
·  You have proven experience in planning and implementation of MES reporting according to ISA-95systems model.
·  You haveexperience and working knowledge of Allen Bradley/ Rockwell PLC programming required.
·  RS Logix 500
·  RS Logix Studio 5000(Ladder, Function Block, Sequential function chart, Structured Text)
·  Experience and working knowledge in Industrial networking.
·  Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, DeviceNet , Actuator Sensor Interface
·  Experience and working knowledge of distributed Scada systems.
·  Wonderware System platform,
·  Ignition
·  You have experience and working knowledge of historical data management and reporting software (i.e. Factory Talk Historian, Wonderware Historian, Ignition Historian).
·  You have experience and working knowledge in Microsoft Office suite and windows operating system.
·  You have experience and working knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.
·  You haveknowledge of Visual Basic, required.
·  You have experiencein supervising Systems Integrators in the mechanical and electrical installations of the control systems, as well as the commissioning.
·  You are highly self-directed and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
·  You are flexible to consider additional information or ideas when formulating solutions.
·  You are exceptionally organized and self-disciplined to accommodate the management of concurrent multiple projects.
·  You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.  You havefully developed written and presentation skills and haveexcellent conflict resolution skills.
·  You are a fast learner and quickly adapts to change.

Preferred:

·  Experience with SIEMENS logic controller programming is a plus.
·  Formal Management of Change (MOC) experience is a plus.
·  SAP enterprise resource planning software for materials and production planning integration with PLC environment for product traceability and process optimization is a plus.
·  Dairy / Plant Based Beverage experience a plus.
