Job description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for the visual look of the Boutique and its merchandising, following the image as directed by guidelines from Chanel Paris. Maintaining the visual displays in the windows and on the sales floors. Contributing to sales by supporting the Sales team, handling the merchandise, replenishment and assisting the stock controllers with inventory control. Ensuring good product knowledge and care, personal presentation and teamwork are maintained at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal Presentation / Image
· Arrive in good time each day, ready to commence work fifteen minutes before your shift is due to start
· Adhere at all times to dress code, grooming and conduct guidelines as specified within the CHANEL Charter
Visual Display – assist the VM Manager with their daily tasks (when cover allows), to include:
· Maintaining the display cabinets, counters and walls.
· Maintaining the shop floor mannequins.
· Cleaning props and fixtures.
· Assisting the VM team when major window and instore displays are changed.
· Responsible for the VM iPad and recording all new visual displays.
Stock and Merchandising Management – support the Sales team and Stock
Controller by:
· Helping to remove and replace products as needed to maximise sales.
· Restocking floor cupboards when prompted by the stock controller (Daily Sales Reports…)
· Assisting the FAs by getting stock from the stockroom as needed.
· Understanding the importance of tickets on all merchandise and making sure they are security tagged.
· Checking the quality of products when displaying and ensuring products are in perfect condition.
· Helping with inventory and stocktake.
· Maintaining contact with the security officers regarding potential loss issues.
· Participating in staff meetings, being responsible for communicating key information to the team regarding new products and displays in the Boutique.
Team Spirit
· Communicate and liaise appropriately and effectively with colleagues and management within own and other Boutiques, as well as with CHANEL Head Office as required
· Work effectively and efficiently within the team, sharing ideas and contributing to a positive morale as well as ensuring good time management and sufficient Boutique cover at all times
· Apply a helpful and courteous manner towards all colleagues, remaining reliable, supportive and flexible as the business demands
· Ensure absolute confidentiality of the Company’s commercial activities and internal affairs at all times
Product
· Ensure all goods are handled with due care at all times.
· Important to have a wide product knowledge of current and previous seasons.
Training / Personal Development
· Successfully participate in and complete any training provided, acquiring and applying high standards of selling skills and product knowledge
· Actively and positively participate in any meetings arranged
