Role Summary
As Sustainability Lead, Strategic Planning & Projects for North Asia and SEAA, you will contribute to the strategic integration of sustainability across the region, driving impactful change aligned with Chanel’s global ambitions and local market realities.
Your mission is to orchestrate the transformation journey by implementing program management & governance processes within the Sustainability portfolio. You will contribute to the transformation journey by embedding sustainability into core business functions, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring readiness for evolving regulatory landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Project Management
Project Management Office (PMO)
• Implement the internal project management & governance processes, ensuring consistent approach within the Sustainability Portfolio, across regional and market-level sustainability initiatives
• Support the Head of Sustainability Transformation in managing sustainability project portfolio, ensure allocation of budget and resources, ensure timely delivery, clear objectives & measurable outcomes.
• Lead the implementation of sustainability project dashboard to monitor & communicate project progress, KPIs & impact, addressing regional and market needs.
• Promote strong project management practices within the sustainability function through knowledge and best practices.
• Facilitate regular team meetings & follow ups within the sustainability community on updates, information sharing, and foster collaboration.
Sustainability Transformation & Alignment
Support the Director of Sustainability and Head of Sustainability Transformation on the development of the Regional Sustainability Roadmap & priorities.
• Contribute to the regional sustainability alignment efforts with global strategies, integrating sustainability into business operations and decision-making.
• Scheduling of meetings & cadences to ensure alignment, accountability, and momentum across the transformation agenda with stakeholders.
• Prepare, facilitate on the assigned meetings & cadences, including reviewing attendees, clear agendas, and follow-up of actions.
• Develop compelling communication materials to articulate the roadmap and progress.
2. Giraffe in Asia - PMO
Support the Programme Manager, functioning as the PMO for Project Giraffe in Asia:
• Manage programme, including planning, execution, monitoring and ensuring alignment with global Giraffe team.
•Track risks, issues, changes within the programme & workstreams, to provide visibility across workstreams, and facilitate decision making during steering committees.
•Support Programme Manager in preparations for steering committees & workgroup meetings.
•Lead the change management in Giraffe, collaborate with workstream leads to make available materials to support stakeholder engagement, communicate change in a timely manner across functions & markets.

Professional Experience
• Sustainability Expertise: Proven experience across a broad range of sustainability topics, ideally within retail, real estate, supply chain, or consulting sectors.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage or support complex, cross-functional projects, including PMO function. Skilled at translating technical sustainability concepts into actionable business solutions.
• Change Management: Strong track record in driving organizational change, with a deep understanding of strategies to influence behaviors and embed sustainability into business culture.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations, with the ability to engage and align global and regional stakeholders across diverse functions.
Education
•Tertiary-level academic qualifications in any discipline; additional certifications in sustainability, project management, or change management are a plus.
Skills & Competencies
•Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Confident presenter with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
•Collaboration & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, motivate teams, and act as a proactive advisor across all levels of the organization.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with comfort working with data, numbers, and quantitative models. Commercial acumen to connect sustainability initiatives with business outcomes.
• Digital Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Familiarity with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
• Self-Starter: Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Learning Agility: Adaptable, and eager to continuously learn and grow within a dynamic sustainability landscape.
