Job description

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To assist with the efficient running of the operation, working effectively and ensuring that work targets are communicated, allocated, monitored and achieved amongst the team as appropriate.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.         Personal Effectiveness

·  To ensure effective and efficient coordination of work within area of responsibility

·  Timely and proficient allocation of daily work schedules to relevant members of staff

·  Work towards as well as encouraging and supporting a continued focus on achievement of work and productivity targets

·  Timely and appropriate receipt and despatch of stock as required

·  Effective utilisation of resources and warehouse space within area of operation

·  Investigate and resolve stock queries using SAP/PC systems

·  Timely and efficient completion of “Return-to-work” interviews and “Interim Reviews” as well as suitable allocation of “buddies” for staff as appropriate

·  Active and appropriate participation in warehouse operational meetings as required

·  Gain and maintain knowledge of appropriate health & safety guidelines and ensure rules are adhered to by all members of staff

2.         Communication

·  Appropriate and timely reporting of any stock or operational issues to line manager

·  Courteous, calm and appropriate liaison at all levels whilst remaining self motivated, organised and enthusiastic

·  To work effectively and efficiently, sharing relevant information with the team and management

·  Liaise effectively with Boutique, Head Office teams and Watch wholesalers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, quotation and updates.

3.         Appearance

·  To wear the allocated uniform and appear presentable and well groomed at all times

·  To ensure that work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times

4.         Although comprehensive the job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be added according to the needs of the business and as requested by a Distribution Manager, the General Distribution Manager or the Operations Director.
