Job Mission:
To deliver a competitive advantage to our company, the Business Finance function needs to be agile and dynamic, founded on insights from advanced analytics and tools, and proactive business partnering to influence strategic decisions where possible. With the ever-changing business environment and technologies, there have been significant changes in the role of Business Finance function, as it pivots towards a more predictive and analytical future as opposed to descriptive analysis. We shall no longer just report the news but help make the news. Connect the internal and external insights and proactively drive and shape the governance of the Local, Regional, or Global agendas for business discussions.
In this perspective, we aim to become a strong business partner with the Sustainability team. We believe that a transformational change is only possible if sustainability factors are incorporated into strategic planning and into the allocation of capital that drives investments more holistically.
Business finance will ensure that sustainability issues are addressed in an integrated manner within the Company's strategic planning and decisions, aligned with the budgeting and forecasting processes, and that sustainability strategies are costed, financial resources are allocated, and performance is monitored.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Business Finance, and working closely with Senior Sustainability Manager, the incumbent is expected to work cohesively and support ESG Performance, establishment, implementation, continuous improvement, and innovation through process standardization across Asia.
ESG Reporting (30%)
Coordinate data collection across divisions and functions to ensure ESG reporting compliance with CSRD requirements.
Plan and organize data collection and validation processes, collaborating closely with Global and Regional teams.
Analyze ESG data results and provide actionable insights to the Sustainability teams, enabling management to make informed decisions.
Sustainability Performance Monitoring & Projection (20%)
Assist Global/Regional/Local Sustainability teams in developing carbon emission calculation methodologies and gathering accurate data.
Monitor and analyze carbon emissions by Scope and category, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the company's impact.
Support Regional teams in advancing carbon emission calculation methodologies, contributing to continuous improvement.
Guide and validate data collection and integrity for divisions and functions. (e.g., Media, Events, Capital Goods)
RE100 (20%)
Support management and implementation of RE100 initiatives.
Identify and explore renewable energy solutions within the operational scope.
Collaborate with the Sustainability team to ensure renewable energy procurement aligns with Chanel’s ESG commitments and policies.
Oversee administrative tasks associated with renewable energy procurement.
Sustainability Planning for Business Decisions (15%)
Coordinate the consolidation of investments related to the Climate Transition Plan across divisions and functions.
Coordinate the development of effective Finance ESG governance structures, KPIs, and metrics in alignment with the Climate Transition Plan.
Support divisions and functions in OPEX and CAPEX budgeting with sustainability KPIs.
Support divisions and functions in budgeting and performance analysis for sustainability initiatives.
Overall Controlling in Sustainability (15%)
Assist overall controlling and budgeting in sustainability, including supplementing and enhancing financial projection models.
Collaborate with Internal Control and Risk team to ensure ESG audits are prepared and properly addressed.

Academic / Professional Qualifications
· University degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Management Systems, Economics, or Quantitative Finance.
Work Experience
· Experience in working in Sustainability is preferred.
· Knowledge in external reporting and compliance, and a passion for ESG reporting.
