The Specialist, Indirect Procurement is responsible for the sourcing, project management and negotiation of assigned materials and services across assigned spend categories, ensuring adequate quality, delivery, risk, and optimized total cost of aligned with the business’ objectives and strategies. 

Specifically, this category manager is expected to be focused on IT support, with help in the HR, and, Operational Services, and Events areas of the business.  This role will be supporting business leads on the management of the procurement process, from strategic sourcing, professional negotiation, contract management, vendor performance, risk assessment, and overall category management.   

Key Job Responsibilities  

· 
Data gathering, analyzing, and understanding opportunities and expectations of our internal and external partners 

· 
Gain knowledge of supplier markets, supply risk levels, assess supplier capabilities, and help define/improve company's panel of suppliers (local, regional, global) 

· 
Lead sourcing projects of key spend categories ensuring collaboration with internal business partners 

· 
Support financial analysis and professional negotiation of acquisition cost and other commercial terms to ensure optimal reduction of Total Cost of Ownership 

· 
As required, act as project manager while working in close cooperation with project teams, in the execution and deployment of sourcing strategies 

· 
Help develop/review of business cases documenting supplier selection strategies and award decisions to support management review and approval 

· 
Support vendor management of key suppliers, sometimes possibly acting as corporate Lead Buyer overseeing certain relationships between COMPANY and key suppliers 

· 
Define performance indicators, build and communicate related dashboards, carry on pertinent analysis, assess vendor performance on key supplier relationships to possibly recommend vendor performance improvements 

· 
Improve existing indirect procurement practices, processes, and guidelines as necessary, sensibly combining both best practices and practical business needs 

· 
Ultimately, instill a culture of continuous improvement and challenge around procurement in the business groups in scope 

Qualifications and Experience  

· 
Solid 3+ years of experience in the US market of the procurement, either in an in-house or consulting capacity 

· 
Proven track record of building effective working relationships with senior level business lead partners and external stakeholders (suppliers) 

· 
Self-starter, able to manage multiple projects and succeed in a dynamic environment with minimal direction 

· 
Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contract requirements 

· 
Expertise in procurement policy, procedures and processes 

· 
Strong research and analytical skills 

· 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

· 
Strong interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution, facilitation, project management 

· 
Ability to challenge status quo and drive new ideas 

Reporting Structure

· 
Will report directly to Head of Procurement or Lead Analyst Indirect Procurement
