RETAIL SUPERVISOR - TEMPORARY CONTRACT (6 MONTHS)

Location : Panamá, Panamá City

Reports to : Sales Area Manager

Contract : Full-time and temporary position

YOUR ROLE @CHANEL

You are responsible for managing the retail staff of counters and frag only doors. Coordinates the shipping of PLV Material, sets up displays, and assists customers and staff during business hours.

WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL

Commercial

·  Ensure net sales and wholesales are in line with expectation
·  Meet sell out objectives on monthly basics.
·  Manage retail staff of counters and frag only doors.
·  Price Tracking verification
·  Ensure pricing is correct
·  Evaluate on-the-job performance.
·  Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers.
·  Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock.
·  Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards.
·  Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
·  Monitor local competitors.
·  Ensure hours of operation are in compliance with local laws.
·  Maintain store's cleanliness and health and safety measures.
·  Help retail sales staff achieve sales targets.
·  Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues.
·  Supervise merchandising at POS’s
·  Monitor and report campaign performance

Financial

·  Accountable for customer contribution targets of assigned area.
·  Define Sales & APD (expenses) budget.
·  Allocate adequate PLV material to obtain visible promotion and successful sales, while respecting budgetary guidelines and constraints.
·  Make sure all investments are relevant and are generating the expected ROI.

Marketing / Media / Training

·  Responsible for the implementation of the Marketing Plan within the area through close collaboration with respective Departments.
·  Buildup and implement media plan.
·  Coordinate media and production schedules with the respective department.
·  Buildup sales promotional plan as agreed with retailers, distributor and area manager.
·  Buildup & implement trade plan as per the Marketing Calendar and within the defined budget.
·  Buildup & monitor make-up artist visits and other promotional events as needed.
·  Close work with Training Team to provide adequate training to team on the field (BA’s mainly).
·  Work closely with Trade Marketing / MPOS team to ensure on time installation of Trade Plan (animations) / Counters over the area.

Leadership

·  Manage and motivate a retail staff team (Boutique manager, BA’s, spray´s team, among others).
·  Recruit, evaluate and promote BA´s, including spraying boys, skincare specialist, in conjunction with Area manager.
·  Coach, counsel, recruit, train, and discipline retail employees
·  Supervise Sales Executives to ensure orders are processed and shipped on-time.
·  Responsible for the recruiting and hiring of retail staff in conjunction with area manager.
·  Responsible for trip reports, follow-up reports and POS project.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

·  3+ years of experience in management, developing markets, and negotiating with different clients, preferably in the luxury and/or beauty industry.
·  Must be fluent both in English and Spanish
·  Ability to manage tough negotiations with different stakeholders.
·  Proficiency analyzing data and defining commercial strategies.
·  Experience offering guidance, assigning tasks, taking disciplinary actions, recruiting new employees, and monitoring sales performance at a point of sale.
·  At least a Bachelor Degree in in business administration, business, sales or related field.
·  Proficiency level using Microsoft Excel.
·  Ability to develop and empower people: Listening and empathy, feedback and coaching skills, performance management, delegation.
·  Technology savvy and digital trend awareness.
·  Also, demonstrable skills in organization, communication, teamwork, prioritization of tasks, results-oriented, people management, and advanced MS Office Suite.
