Indirect Procurement Manager
Location: CHANEL – Toronto, Ontario
Reports to: Canada CFO and UK Region Head of Indirect Procurement
Contract: Full-time and Permanent
Your role @ Chanel:
As Indirect Procurement Manager, you will provide essential support in leading and managing the procurement function and its tools, share best procurement practices and work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business requirements and how they can be met as part of the global procurement strategy.
This role will be supporting business teams on the management of the procurement process, from strategic sourcing, professional negotiation, contract management, vendor performance, risk assessment, and overall category management. They will be expected to provide reporting and to ensure the relevant documentation is provided to the global and regional Indirect Procurement team.
You will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of Chanel Canada and will have a dotted line with the regional head of indirect procurement of the region.

Continue to develop the procurement strategies for indirect goods and services that align with the organization's objectives and ensure cost effectiveness;

Gain knowledge of supplier markets, supply risk levels, assess supplier capabilities, and help define/improve company's panel of suppliers (local, regional, global);

Lead sourcing projects of spend categories ensuring collaboration with internal business partners;
·
Support financial analysis and professional negotiation of acquisition cost and other commercial terms to ensure optimal reduction of Total Cost of Ownership;
·
Drive cost reduction initiatives by analysing spend data, identifying opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and process improvements;
·
Identify and mitigate risks associated with indirect procurement activities;
·
Develop contingency plans and ensure business continuity in the event of supplier disruptions or market fluctuations;
·
Collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational goals. Work closely with department heads to understand their indirect procurement needs and provide strategic guidance;

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier performance. Conduct regular supplier evaluations, assess their adherence to SLAs, and implement corrective actions when necessary;

Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies related to indirect procurement. Conduct market research, benchmarking, and supplier analysis to identify potential opportunities and risks;

Compliance and Ethics: Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain a high level of integrity and promote a culture of transparency, fairness, and ethical conduct in all procurement processes;

Support vendor management of key suppliers overseeing relationships between Chanel and suppliers;
·
Oversee the management of contracts for indirect goods and services, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Monitor contract performance, resolve issues, and renegotiate contracts as necessary;
·
Improve existing indirect procurement practices, processes, and guidelines as necessary, sensibly combining both best practices and practical business needs;
·
Support the implementation of Procurement performance (risks management, financial productivity, top-line benefits, CSR impact) and regional compliance with IP process handbook;
·
Collaborate with regional and global teams to implement end to end procure to pay policy.
What you will bring to the role:

A minimum of 7 years all-rounded Strategic Indirect Procurement experience;
·
3-5 years of experience working within a procurement tool (Coupa, etc.) environment at an advanced level;
·
CIPS qualification;
·
Expertise in procurement policy, procedures, and processes;
·
Proven track record of building effective working relationships with business partners and external stakeholders (suppliers);
·
Ability to manage independently multiple projects and succeed in a dynamic environment with minimal direction and to self-start
·
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions;
·
Ability to demonstrate business acumen and sensitivity to the changes in the external business, economic and people environment;
·
Strong negotiation and communication skills;
·
In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, strategic sourcing, and contract management and foster the momentum of collaboration and continuous improvement;
·

Competitive Base Salary: $140k-150k CAD annually.
