Treasury is an integrated Finance department actively contributing to Chanel’s business strategy, operations, and growth by optimising the usage of available liquidities, providing funding solutions and managing financial risks appropriately.

Treasury operates as a fully connected function with internal and external stakeholders with the capacity to evaluate, monitor and analyse opportunities in the market that could enhance the value proposition to the company by supporting the current and future needs of the business.

Chanel Treasury aims to centralise cash where possible and ensure visibility on 1/free cash flow to be available to be mobilised for investments, dividends, 2/ fundings requirements, 3/FX exposure.

The role:

The Head of Treasury Operations manages the team who execute operational day-to-day treasury activities including cash management, intercompany management, and FX operations. Responsibilities include:

·  Lead and manage the team responsible for the global treasury operations, in close collaboration with the regional teams:
·  Manage Global Cash Pooling and intercompany current accounts
·  Manage daily cash reconciliation and positioning for all global accounts in scope
·  Determine and manage the short-term investments in line with cash forecasting
·  Manage treasury payments, Intercompany settlements
·  Manage banking partners and other financial service providers
·  Manage and monitor group banking fees
·  Manage Bank accounts including global bank account opening/closing processes and central KYC handling
·  Trade Day-to-day FX operations in line with the strategy and policy set by the Financial Risk Management team, execute trade confirmations and settlements
·  Execute Trade finance and guarantee executions with close collaboration with regions teams
·  Monitor Group card collection and card corporate Programme.
·  Together with the Head of Middle Office, ensure that proper segregation of duties and appropriate control frameworks & reporting are in place.
·  Work closely with the Treasury Transformation team to provide operational support for all type of treasury projects (including new system implementations and system upgrades.)
·  Ensure cross-training of staff (to allow backup solutions.)
·  Responsible for streamlining and optimising the day-to-day activities and underlying processes.

What you will bring/have :

·  Strong demonstrated expertise in cash and liquidity management, cash forecasting, bank account management, FX operations and intercompany financing and related instruments and products.
·  Strong technical knowledge of the banking and cash management services and solutions.
·  Substantial related experience in treasury operations for an international corporate.
·  Affinity with technology and automation.
·  Excellent understanding and experience with Finance systems and processes.
·  Strong customer service skills: manage internal customer relationships through a competent, technically enabled service approach ensuring agreed service levels are maintained.
·  Comfort, familiarity, and proven success working with senior management and presenting to groups.
·  Ability to comprehend business issues and develop coherent & comprehensive business solutions.
·  Critical thinking, collaboration and project management skills in a complex and matrix environment.
·  Demonstrated leadership and coaching of staff, including cross regional teams and functions.
·  Trusted, influential and respected professional.
·  Fluent English (speaking and writing).
·  Demonstrated high integrity and ethics in all activities.
