Finance Transformation Data & System Analyst
Location: CHANEL Head office, London (With occasional travel to our office in Croydon)
Reports to: Data and Non-Financial Reporting Manager, UK Region
Contract: 9 Month Fixed Term Contract
Your role @CHANEL:
The successful candidate will support our main transformation project priority in changing ERP system and connected system. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide dedicated support for team activities in data quality and data management. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in data handling and a background in finance, offering a unique opportunity to enhance data, processes and contribute to impactful projects.
What impact you can create at Chanel:
· Clean, transform, and reconcile data from various sources by leveraging Excel and Power Query
· Assist readiness projects in terms of data quality checks, root cause analysis, financial dimensions mapping
· Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot data inconsistencies or discrepancies
· Assist in documenting workflows, data lineage, and data dictionaries to facilitate better understanding and usage of organisational data
· Assist on generating reports or dashboards that highlight key insights around data quality and governance compliance
· Work closely with UK Data Manager and other stakeholders across different departments to both gather and share requirements data usage needs
· Contribute when required to the creation of training materials or manuals to support data governance initiatives
What you will bring to the role:
· Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data-related roles preferably in data cleaning, merging, data quality checks
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
· Strong finance knowledge and understanding of financial principles required, with previous experience in finance functions
· Proven record of working in a role where Excel was used extensively for tracking, reconciling, or analysing data, such as financial transactions, operational metrics etc.
· Contributed to small-scale data management projects or quality check projects
· Tool initiative to automate repetitive tasks using advanced formulas, pivot tables, or macros
· Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and Power Query
· Familiarity with financial systems such as Microsoft D365, IBM planning analytics (TM1), Coupa (S2P) or similar platforms is a plus
· Curiosity and a strong learning mindset
