What you can bring to the team

Job Mission :

·  The purpose of the retail marketing team is to create memorable and meaningful experiences onsite & offsite to support brand image building and story-telling for CHANEL in China

The senior manager is expected to show deep understanding of local consumers’ fast-evolving expectations as well as CHANEL brand strategy and campaign objectives, in order to lead the team to create, plan, executive and constantly improve Retail marketing activities to the brand standard.

Key Responsibilities :

Local Retail Marketing Activities Strategy & Overall Planning

·  Design, plan and optimize Retail marketing activities to achieve brand performance objectives, across KPIs of image, clients, sales, costs and carbon emissions
·  Able to prioritize with clear rationale, to anticipate evolving business and clients needs, and strategize the best output given the available resources.
·  Drive Innovation to constantly create / adapt the right client Experience, in line with brand strategies and grounded on client / retail feedback
·  Based on the high volume of events run every year, constantly drive for insights and improvements through systematic postmortems, based on cross-department quantitative and qualitative feedback, suggestion and comments.

Create and execute different types of Retail Animation

·  Lead team to design, plan, execute and continuously improve different types of events:
·  ONSITE: External Podium, Podium, New POS opening, BTQ/Counter Events
·  OFFSITE: Special Events, FR Master Class, Hotel Facial / Skincare workshop
·  Initiate and maintain partnership with landlords to maximum support for new POS openings / during key commercial moments or new launches, through onsite visibility support (OOH, digital, …), mall CRM-base VIP invitations, etc.
·  Choose and secure the best venues according to typologies and requirement of different Animations, brief and select fairly vendors along all the steps (venue set-up to logistics to on-site execution details), meeting CHANEL standards.
·  Foster collaborative environment when working with other internal departments: e.g. Marketing, Training, Sales team, VM, PR/Media.

Market animation insight

·  Understand consumer expectations and needs, as well as CHANEL frontline operations and constraints.
·  Have clear and up-to-date visibility on Market trends of retail animation and monitor competitors’ strategies as shown by their animation / promotional activities and performance. Derive insight implementable for CHANEL

Operational Excellence

·  Constantly drive for SOP standardization & operational efficiency
·  Ensure vendor Management & PRO Compliance
·  Ensure effective Products, gifts, SPM planning & management

People Leadership & Development

·  Lead, engage and inspire the Retail marketing team to be at their best at work
·  Attract and retain talent to ensure the required knowledge, skills, expertise are in place.
·  Develop internal pipeline for future succession planning
