Driver/Distribution Assistant

Location: CHANEL Distribution Centre, 5 Queensway

Reports to: Fashion and W&FJ Distribution Manager

Contract: Permanent

Your role @CHANEL:

The successful candidate will deliver goods efficiently and on time while adhering to all operational and security procedures associated with the transportation and delivery of luxury products across UK but mainly in London. When not required for driving duties, to join the rest of Fashion Distribution Team, assisting with efficient processing of Fashion Boutique stock, working effectively and ensuring that work targets are completed accurately, on time and with care.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

·  Accurately and thoroughly check and maintain relevant paperwork/records
·  Regularly carry out deliveries and collections, physically unloading and loading the vehicles as necessary, and manually-handling cartons and goods
·  Adhere to the training provided for operational, security and health and safety procedures
·  Liaise and communicate with receiving teams, third parties, colleagues, and security teams
·  Carry out distribution assistant tasks as required as part of a team, with accuracy, care and efficiency
·  Report problems, queries, and mechanical or security issues to relevant departments or managers
·  Maintain cleaning and maintenance of the Company vehicles, ensuring a smart presentation

What you will bring to the role:

·  To work efficiently and adhere to deadlines
·  Hold a clean manual driving license
·  Demonstration of good and effective communication skills
·  Flexible approach to working hours, which is based on a 40-hour week and the need to work during the week and at weekends when required.
·  Courteous, professional and appropriate liaison at all levels whilst remaining self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic
·  Have experience in similar field
