Job description

Job Purpose:   The Cashier is responsible to provide cashier service to our clients and reconcile payments against daily sales at the boutique.

Vision :  The ultimate house of luxury defining style and creating desire now and forever.

Mission:  Dedicated to engaging the clients of today and tomorrow to the brand by providing unsurpassed service to all our customers (internal and external), maintaining high image standards in the boutiques at all times.

Positions will be located in one of our Fashion Boutique.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Personal Presentation/Image

·  Arrive in good time each day, ready to commence work before your shift is due to start, in accordance with your working schedule
·  Adhere at all times to dress code, grooming, and conduct guidelines as specified within the CHANEL Charter

Provide Ultimate Luxury Customer Experience

·  Provide ultimate luxury customer experience according to our Client Service Values.
·  Greet customers and provide cashier service and product information to customers as required.

Effectively Handle Day-to-day Operations

·  Follow the requirements as indicated in the Standard Operational Procedures.
·  Handle transactions by cash, credit card, check or other forms of payments, in local or foreign currencies.
·  Handle returns such as exchanges, refunds, and credit notes according to the company policies and guidelines.
·  Reconcile daily transactions with cash and other forms of balances.  Ensure adequate cash flow in counters.  Verify the amounts at the beginning and end of shifts.
·  Input transaction and client information on the system and invoices accurately.
·  Provide information to management by consolidating sales and related information such as sales, stock movement, and customer reports.
·  Ensure high alertness on job duties.
·  Support boutique operations such as gift wrapping and other ad hoc duties as assigned.

·  Communicate and liaise appropriately and effectively with colleagues and management within own and other Boutiques, as well as with CHANEL Head Office as required
·  Work effectively and efficiently within the team, sharing ideas and contributing to positive morale as well as ensuring good time management and sufficient Boutique cover at all times
·  Apply a helpful and courteous manner towards all colleagues, remaining reliable, supportive, and flexible as the business demands
·  Ensure absolute confidentiality of the Company’s commercial activities and internal affairs at all times

Training / Personal Development

·  Successfully participate in and complete any training provided, acquiring and applying high standards of selling skills and product knowledge
·  Actively and positively participate in any meetings arranged

Position Requirements:

·  Minimum 3 years of related experience (Knowledge of operating cash register)
·  University degree is a must
·  Team-focused with a desire to collaborate effectively.
·  A flexible schedule with the ability to work in the shifts
·  High communication skills.
·  Good numerical sense, detail-oriented, high accuracy in payment handling
·  Fluent English is a must
