About the Role

The North Asia region will comprise the markets of Hong Kong S.A.R. and Macao S.A.R. (HKMO), Mainland China, South Korea, and the Taiwan region. It groups the markets of scale where brand leadership is well-established. Together, these markets will focus on elevating brand, driving innovation, incubating future capabilities, and continuing the trajectory of growth for the long-term.

To bring to life the strategic intent of North Asia, the Business Finance function needs to be agile and dynamic, founded on insights from advanced analytics and tools, proactive business partnering with the aim to influence strategic decision where possible.

With the ever-changing business environment and technologies, there have been significant changes in the role of the Business Finance function, as it pivots towards a more predictive and analytical future as opposed to descriptive analysis.

We shall no longer just report the news but help making the news. Connect the internal and external insights and proactively drive and shape the governance of the local, regional, and global agendas to inform business decision.

Support to oversee the overall governance, end-to-end process and development of Budget and forecasts.

· 
Oversee all cost variances and exposure to help CHANEL manage its margin and economic expenses.

· 
Combine functional and commercial depth of experience to challenge business partner viewpoints and assumptions.

· 
Design and perform ad-hoc analysis, incorporating checks and balances to ensure data integrity.

· 
Review and challenge KPI and review results.

· 
Monitor financial and operational performance via KPIs and automated / self-serviced reports to support business decision making.

· 
Able to analyze and explain the variance between budgeted and actual financial results.

· 
Able to articulate the reasons and financial consequences of management decisions with medium and long-term implications.

· 
Act as a subject matter expert and apply innovative system implications to support data quality and help to improve business performance.

· 
Facilitate the assessment, development and implementation of technological tools.

· 
Support and coach others in the functionality and application of technological tools.

· 
Proactively look for innovative solutions to optimize the process of data analysis and modeling.

Specific Coordination & Consolidation:

The Business Finance Manager will support the Business Finance Lead for providing a transversal, holistic and accurate translation of the performance and financial position of the Region.

To do so, the Business Finance Manager will:

· 
Conduct consolidation activities to provide accurate and timely information to the Management.

· 
Monitor and enforce the adoption of budget and forecast guidelines.

· 
Be the referent for Global teams for forecast and actuals topics.

· 
Work closely with Finance Systems team to align reporting needs with system support.

· 
Provide transversal (cross Functions, cross Markets) ad hoc analysis to business partners, working closely with the respective Business Finance teams.

· 
Consolidate, measure and challenge SMG&A expenses in North Asia.

Actively engage key stakeholders across regional FBP division and market Business Finance teams to maintain consistency in data tracking and translating insights for decision making.

Being the think tank and data centre to generate accurate and insightful financial recommendation for initiatives contributing to the regional growth.

What You Will Bring

· 
University degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration or related disciplines preferred.

· 
Thorough knowledge of accounting / financial planning & analysis concepts and principles.

· 
Solid experience acquired in the finance department of a multinational company.

· 
solid experience with controlling and budget analysis and hands on experience with finance systems.

· 
Rigorous, organized, equipped with a great sense of service.

· 
Curious to analyze financial data in depth and have a strong appetite for information systems.

· 
Good interpersonal skills and at ease with complex organizations.

· 
Excellent command of MS Excel.

· 
Hands on experience with IBM Planning & Analytics tool (TM1), Hyperion tools (HFM, Planning & Analytics) and/or other consolidation and reporting tools is a definitive advantage.

· 
Fluent English is required.
