Your future duties and responsibilities
FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a Web Developer, you will manage a broad range of challenges and must be able to understand the client’s business problem, determine the requirements, and develop the solution at any level within the client’s organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The Web Developer will:

• Design, code, and debug applications in various software languages;

• Conduct software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis;

• Create front-end graphical user interface design;

• Test software for quality assurance;

• Maintain and troubleshoot web application problems and resolve issues;

• Participate in the planning, coordination, and development of web, custom, and small applications;

• Create and contribute to technical specification documentation;

• Document all custom coding and application configuration settings; and

• Adhere to CGI’s software development standards, policies, and guidelines.

Essential skills required:

- 3+ yrs working on frontend applications

- Extensive JavaScript experience

- Strong understanding of DOM ( HTML, CSS3, JS, JSON )

- SQL, relational databases

Desired skills:

- Experience with UI/UX design

- Automated testing tools such (e.g., Selenium, Robot)

- Experience with major JS Frameworks such as Angular and React)

- Experience with Prototyping tools (e.g., Invision, Axure, FramerJS, Sketch)

- Experience with Source/Package Mgmt ( Git, Node, NPM )

- Mobile development experience (Ionic, React Native, Phonegap, Cordova)

- Experience with responsive mobile design

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

The Web Developer shall have at least five (3) years of experience within the past fifteen (5) years on projects involving web, custom, and small applications.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Experience/overall knowledge of all phases of an IT implementation project/product life cycle

• Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
