ETL/Automation Tester with Wealth Management Experience

Position Description:
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ETL/Automation Tester with a strong background in Wealth Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data validation, automation frameworks, and backend testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in complex financial environments.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
• Design and implement robust test plans and test cases aligned with user stories and technical specifications.
• Perform comprehensive ETL testing across various data sources including databases, XML, and flat files.
• Conduct backend/database testing using complex SQL and PL/SQL queries; create and validate stored procedures and functions.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks (data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid, or BDD) using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Java.
• Generate detailed test reports using tools like Allure or Extent Reports.
• Utilize tools like JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git, and test management plugins (e.g., X-ray, Zephyr) to manage test artifacts and track defects.
• Analyze testing scope, estimate effort, and ensure timely delivery of quality assurance activities.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems by understanding data models and data flow within Wealth Management platforms.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with a focus on data validation and automation.
• Mandatory Wealth Management experience with a deep understanding of financial products and services.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and database systems.
• Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL for backend testing and data validation.
• 3+ years of experience in designing and building automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Maven, Java, and IDEs like Eclipse or IntelliJ.
• Familiarity with test reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
