We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development, C#, Microsoft Access, SQL Server database management, VBA programming, and extensive experience Microsoft technology stack including Azure Cloud technologies. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of projects, ensuring robust design and architecture, managing day-to-day development operations, and mentoring team members in best practices for implementing solutions.
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture:
• Lead the design, development, and implementation and operations of software solutions leveraging the Microsoft technology stack, including Power Platform, .NET, Azure, SQL, and VBA.
• Architect and deliver scalable, high-performance applications using .NET Core/Framework, C#, , and other Microsoft technologies, ensuring alignment with best practices and business goals.
• Provide strategic direction on cloud-based architectures in Azure, Power Platform, including Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, App Services, and other services.
• Oversee the design and maintenance of applications built leveraging MS Access, Windows IIS, C#, including Azure SQL Server and other data storage solutions, ensuring robust data integrity, security, and performance optimization.
• Act as a subject matter expert on database design, query optimization, and transaction management for applications.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Mentor and guide junior technical analysts and developers.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Technical Skills:
• .NET/C#: Extensive experience in building and maintaining applications using the .NET Framework and .NET Core, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• SQL & Database Management: Proficiency in SQL Server database maintenance, design, performance tuning, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Azure: Solid experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, and Azure Active Directory.
• VBA: Proficient in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), specifically for automating processes within Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Access.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with cloud-native services and architecture, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (desirable).
• CI/CD & DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, or other Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and modern development patterns such as event-driven design.
• Knowledge of Security best practices for Azure and application development, including data encryption, authentication, and access control.
• Experience in integrating with third-party systems via REST APIs or SOAP web services.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $173,500.00.
