We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst in Hobart, Tasmania to work with one of our government sector clients. Working as part of a high-performing CGI team, you will be involved in all aspects of business transformation projects, including requirements analysis, supporting testing activities, and stakeholder engagement.
Building on your strong analytical and leadership skills, you will help shape project outcomes, ensure quality delivery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful change. Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Understand and define business requirements, including discovery, documentation, process flows, use cases, test and training plans
• Evaluate existing business processes and identify and share opportunities to re-engineer and automate
• Recommend business strategies for the application of new technologies
• Establish acceptance criteria in collaboration with the client and develop test processes and artefacts
• Participate in the development of implementation strategies and partake in implementation phase
• Contribute to system analysis, data analysis and solution design
• Document and manage work items and facilitate team meetings
• Contribute to technical and user documentation
• Participate in pre-sales activities including tenders.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Excellent consulting skills, comfortable with high level stakeholder management
• 2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst/Systems Analyst or related role in the ICT sector
• Experience in technical writing/documentation, including use case and functional/technical requirements definition, process flows, screen designs, HLD/technical designs and specifications
• Experience in testing, ideally in planning and leading programs
• Experience with data analysis & design
• Familiarity with modern data and reporting technologies
• A solid understanding of application development principles, including the SDLC, testing and data fundamentals
• High-level analytical, investigative and critical thinking skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
• Must be based in Hobart to be considered for this role.
