Position Description:
CGI has a current opportunity for a Technical Architect. You will be required to analyze complex Agency technical documents, review system’s configuration and analyze the various GCDocs integrations. A Government of Canada SECRET security clearance is a mandatory.
Your expertise will include significant experience in a Document and Records Management environment and working directly with business clients to understand their business needs. The Technical Architect will focus on leveraging the functionality and flexibility of Apollo as a business tool and managed repository. You will be responsible for maximizing usability and user adoption, managing functionality which includes collaboration, messaging, projects, electronic workflows, etc. that will be made available to users.
General work requirements for the Technical Architect Level 3 include, but are not limited to the following:
5.3.1 Support the IT group in the multi-faceted inter-dependent activities identified above as part of Business and Technical Optimization phase;
5.3.2 Work with resources, IT resources including contract technical resources, and end users. This will include participating in IM / IT working groups, client work groups, meeting with IM specialists, information analysts and other contract resources in the roll-out of the Business and Technical Optimization phase;
5.3.3 Provide technical advice, assist in developing and evolving the vision for the management of all content, and making recommendations to ensure alignment with objectives;
5.3.4 Analyze and assess on-going support requirements for end users, and make recommendations to ensure an efficient and sustainable IT support plan (APOLLO and SQL database);
5.3.5 Contribute to the strategy, planning and implementation of the shared drive clean-up and migration of records of business value;
5.3.6 Work with the IT team in setting up permissions management, aligning business rules with configuration settings, and apply approved patches, fixes or upgrades recommended by the vendor (Open Text);
5.3.7 Identify critical technical issues and escalate as required, with regular follow-up and reporting;
