Position Description:

Active NV1, NV2 or TSPV preferred. Australian Citizens eligible to obtain a clearance are also encouraged to apply. The role will be based in Canberra or Adelaide.

This is an Expression of Interest rather than a recruitment campaign for a single project or vacancy.

CGI is continuing to invest in the growth of our Defence & National Security business across Australia.

As part of that growth, we're expanding our permanent Systems Engineering capability to support a strong pipeline of secured programs, current opportunities and future pursuits across Defence, National Security and Federal Government.

We're looking to connect with experienced software and digital professionals who are interested in joining CGI over the coming months. Some candidates may align with immediate opportunities, while others may be considered as new projects commence. We'll be transparent about where you fit, what opportunities are available and the expected timeframes.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Systems Engineer, you'll contribute to the delivery of complex technology and capability projects across the Defence and National Security sector.

Depending on your background and the project you join, you may be involved in:

• Applying systems engineering principles across the capability lifecycle.
• Requirements definition, analysis and management.
• System architecture and design.
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Systems integration and interface management.
• Verification, Validation and Test (VV&T).
• Engineering governance, technical risk and decision support.
• Safety engineering and assurance.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

We're interested in hearing from professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Systems Engineering
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Requirements Engineering
• Systems Integration
• Verification & Validation
• Systems Safety
• Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
• Engineering Management
• Capability Development
• Defence acquisition or sustainment programs
We're open to candidates at a range of experience levels, from developing engineers through to senior technical leaders. The following would also be highly regarded:
• Experience working within Defence, Defence Industry or National Security environments.
• Familiarity with recognised systems engineering frameworks and standards.
• Experience using systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo, Enterprise Architect or similar.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills.
