Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Supply Technician to support the Engineering Research Facility of FBI in Quantico, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Assisting in the timely shipment of equipment to FBI offices, which includes making sure the shipments meet Hazmat regulations and updating a database to ensure accountable inventory is tracked
- Helping FBI personnel conduct periodic inventories and audits of equipment
The Supply Technician performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) related to depot, local or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements, together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
Assignments require:
• Good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
• Understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
• Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Assisting in the timely shipment of equipment to FBI offices. Ensure shipments meet Hazmat regulation.
Updating a database to ensure accountable inventory is tracked.
Assisting FBI personnel to conduct periodic inventories and audits of equipment.
• Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages,
• Routing materials to prescribed storage locations;
• Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods,
• Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials,
• Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
• Possession of a TOP SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must be able to handle high volume fast pace environment; work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
• Willingness to work in a team environment
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload
• Ability to establish working relations at all organization levels
• Attention to detail and organized work habits
• Valid Drivers License, ability lift at least 40 lbs.
