Position Description

Finanssi-Kontio is a modern and agile joint venture of CGI and OP-Palvelut Oy founded in 2013 that produces OP-Pohjola Group’s outsourced ICT services with the aim of helping OP-Pohjola Group reach its business objectives. Our projects will be implemented using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Software Engineer

We are seeking for an experienced Software Engineer to join Finanssi-Kontio. We are developing and maintaining critical back-end business systems of our client. Many of these systems have been implemented using CA Gen. In this position, the main content of the work will be participating in application development activities of these systems. Development tasks are usually part of bigger SAFe trains or projects but also minor development tasks are included. The tasks can also include providing advanced support for production issues.

The work is done employing a blended delivery model including onsite, nearshore and offshore. Therefore, the candidate must also be willing and able to steer and coach offshore developers as a part of day-to-day work.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience in CA Gen based software development
• Capability to lead and coach offshore developers
• Fluent spoken and written Finnish is mandatory – the role includes facilitating meetings in Finnish as well as producing high quality documentation in Finnish
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Ability to work as a part of large teams as well as independently
