The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth in Selenium automation, API testing, and TDD/BDD frameworks, along with the ability to own quality strategy, guide teams, and drive automation best practices in an Agile delivery environment

Your future duties and responsibilities:

3-6 Years years of hands-on experience in test automation and quality engineering
. Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
. Experience in leading automation efforts at module, project, or program level

. Design, architect, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using Selenium and supporting libraries
. Drive framework enhancements aligned with performance, reliability, and maintainability goals
. Define automation standards, guidelines, and best practices across teams

API & Integration Testing

. Lead API and service-layer automation efforts using REST and/or SOAP technologies
. Define API test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, and contract testing
. Ensure comprehensive validation of data payloads, schemas, security, and error handling

Test Strategy, TDD & BDD Leadership

. Champion TDD and BDD practices within delivery teams
. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and developers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
. Review and guide feature files, step definitions, and test scenarios for business clarity and coverage

Agile Quality Leadership

. Act as a quality advocate within Agile teams, ensuring early and continuous testing
. Participate in sprint planning, story grooming, and release planning with a quality-first mindset
. Provide risk assessment and quality metrics to stakeholders

Mentoring & Team Enablement

. Mentor and coach junior automation engineers on frameworks, tools, and testing practices
. Conduct code and test design reviews to ensure adherence to standards
. Support capability building and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the QA organization

CI/CD & Continuous Quality

. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines
. Optimize test execution for faster feedback cycles
. Track and improve automation coverage, defect leakage, and release readiness metrics

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Good-to-Have / Additional Skills

. Working knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases for test data validation
. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
. Exposure to cloud, containerized, or microservices-based architectures
. Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams

Technical Competencies

. Expert-level knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks
. Strong hands-on experience with RESTful and SOAP web services testing
. Deep understanding of automation design patterns and best practices
. Solid experience implementing TDD/BDD solutions
. Strong grasp of Agile testing principles and SDLC
