Job Description/ Position Description:
As a Senior Test Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining test data management solutions that support various testing phases across the organization. You will collaborate closely with QA, development, and DevOps teams to automate test data provisioning, masking, and refresh processes while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. In this role, you will leverage your deep technical expertise to implement complex data masking and synthetic data generation strategies, resolve data-related issues, and ensure high data quality and availability across multiple environments. You will also mentor junior team members, lead the development of best practices, and play a key role in optimizing the organization’s test data management processes.

Job Role/ Your future duties and responsibilities
• Define and implement the test data management strategy to align with project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) while managing test data.
• Identify and source relevant test data from production environments or synthetic generation.
• Implement data masking and anonymization techniques to protect sensitive information.
• Develop automated processes for test data provisioning, management, and cleanup.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure test environments are available and properly configured.
• Regularly refresh, maintain, and version test data to ensure its relevance for ongoing testing activities.
• Work closely with testing, development, and DevOps teams to ensure test data needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test data-related issues to minimize disruptions in testing.
• Provide regular reports on test data availability, usage, and quality, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Proficient with test data management tools and relational/noSQL databases for data extraction and management.
Expertise in data masking, subsetting, anonymization techniques, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and managing test environments across different testing phases.
Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving test data-related issues and ensuring data quality across environments.

Technologies required: Selected Skills

Primary skills: TDM using platforms (K2View, Informatica TDM, Delphix etc), ETL, OracleDB, MongoDB, Data manipulation

Secondary skills: Java, API Integration

Good to have: Python, Data warehousing
