Senior Consultant – Learning & Development

Position Description:

The L&D Senior Consultant is a learning partner who consults with and provides expert guidance and support to business units (BU (VPs and Directors) within an assigned client group and learning portfolio to deliver learning and development strategies and solutions that meet business needs and resolve performance gaps. 
 
This role reports to the Canada L&D Director and is part of the Canada L&D team within the global L&D Centre of Expertise. This person is also a member of the regional Canada HR team. 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Consults with leaders and HR business partners to assess needs and deliver learning and development solutions aligned to SBU strategic business strategy including building critical / emerging technical skills, leadership development, onboarding, and enhancing the consulting capabilities of the region.
. Conducts learning needs assessments, analyzes performance data to identify learning gaps and priorities.
. Supports the development of learning strategy and plans, promotes the regional / local offering, and provides expert guidance on the best solutions to close performance gaps and address business challenges.
. Deploys learning portfolio and projects; this includes programs, courses, and other learning assets. Activities may include sourcing, designing, developing, customizing, delivering, and / or change management.
. Works closely with colleagues in the global CoE and local HRLT to ensure local solutions leverage best practices from global solutions and / or other geographies.
. Collaborates with L&D CoE team to deliver global projects and customizes global learning assets for regional / local markets.
. Partners with vendors to develop and deploy learning interventions as per SBU learning priorities.
. Measures the impact of learning solutions and projects to ensure they meet business objectives and continuous improvement.
. Supports the SBU L&D Director and team to fulfil the SBU's learning requirements as needed.
. Stays abreast of the latest advancements in learning approaches and shares these across the CoE, and with internal stakeholders.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Minimum 5 years' of working with L&D programs and projects or equivalent transferable experience.
. Business professional with a passion for improving business performance through effective learning and development solutions.
. Program and project management skills. Has a proven track record of creating plans and executing and reporting on these successfully. Able to support and contribute to multiple projects in parallel.
. Experience with data analysis, reporting, data quality, and storytelling with data, etc.
. Understanding of CGI business, processes, metrics, and key activities.
. Client engagement, performance consulting, and communication skills, especially with senior leaders.
. Knowledge of L&D including current and cutting-edge developments, techniques, methods, products, or vendors.
. Experience in instructional design and expertise in one or more L&D specialism e.g. technical skill development.
. Effective in collaborating across multiple teams and functions, including senior leaders and vendors.
. Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
. Curiosity and a life-long learner.
. Fluency in French and English is a must.

Qualifications and education
. Post-graduate education in business, Human Resources, Adult Learning, Organization Development, or equivalent, is an asset.
