The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. Due to the secure nature of the programme/role, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through National Security Vetting to obtain this clearance.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Are you passionate about Automation Testing and eager to make an impact in an agile development environment? We’re looking for a skilled Senior Automation Tester to join one of our dynamic software development teams, ensuring top-notch software quality through comprehensive testing. This full-time role is based on-site at Corsham.

Test Planning and Design:
• Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Design and develop automated test scripts and frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.

Test Automation:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts.
• Integrate automated tests with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Test Execution and Reporting:
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
• Document and report defects, providing detailed steps to reproduce and tracking them to resolution.

Test Artefacts Production:
• Produce and maintain high-quality test artefacts, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Ensure all test artefacts are well-documented, version-controlled, and easily accessible for the QA team and other stakeholders.

Test Maintenance:
• Update and maintain automated test scripts to reflect changes in the application.
• Ensure the automation test suite is robust and scalable.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

What We’re Looking For:

• Proficiency with automation methodologies, such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with experience in tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab).
• Strong software development skills (e.g., Java, C#) and an understanding of software development best practices.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and devise solutions to business and technical IT problems.
• Skilled in problem analysis, root cause detection, and issue resolution using the latest quality improvement tools and techniques.

Desired Skills:
• Expertise in working within Agile teams delivering projects and solutions.
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation and Aria Suite.
