Position Description
CGI is looking for a PEGA Lead System Architect to join our team in CT for a Healthcare Client of ours.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual that has the breadth and depth of knowledge to help succeed in leading the design and implementation of Pega 7 applications. The open position is a full time position in a Pega project in the Hartford, CT area. The candidate is required to work in the client site during business hours. The candidate must be either a Pega Lead System Architect (LSA). It is desirable to have the candidate passed the part 1 of the LSA examination. The candidate must have 6 or more than 6 years of hands-on experience with Pega PRPC and within that period, the candidate must be performed as SSA for at least 2 years (It is desirable to have LSA for at least 2 years). The candidate must be experienced in leading a development team to make sure the team is able to design and deliver the system functionalities on time and with high quality. The candidate must be experienced with Pega's Direct Capture Objective concept -- able to lead design sessions with the client and work collaboratively with business architect to design the system.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In addition to the project role, the candidate will participate in the CGI Hartford Pega practice as a thought leader. The object of the practice is to promote the usage of Pega within CGI as well as to potential clients. The candidate will participate in educating coworkers about Pega, business development activities like creating and presenting application demo to potential clients, develop standard Pega design and implementation guidelines etc.
Working as a Pega Lead System Architect you will need to have lead teams and have client facing skills and excellent communication.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Web application design and J2EE architecture
• Object Orientated Design and Programming
• Java and JSP
• XML
• Design and implement system integrations using technologies like REST or SOAP
• Participate and contribute in architecture discussion in how to design a Pega application and work with other enterprise systems
• Relational database design concept and SQL
• Worked in projects that use Agile methodology
• Delivered high quality design documents or other project deliverables
• Identify and fix application defects as reported by end users
• Experienced in using application log, Tracer, clipboard to identify Pega application problems
• Using various techniques including Pega’s PAL to identify and fix Pega application performance bottlenecks
• Able to setup the Pega class structure and application ruleset structure for an enterprise
• Implement fine grain security on Pega application
• Secure the public facing Pega applications and platform
• Assist the business architect to design and implement Pega reports

The candidate should have LSA 1 certification and a minimum of 8 – 10 yrs experience or have LSA 2 certification.
