We are looking for an experienced PL/SQL Architect to design, develop, and manage complex database systems and solutions for our organization. As a PL/SQL Architect, you will play a key role in designing and architecting the database solutions that support our business applications, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and maintainable. You will work closely with development teams, data engineers, and other technical stakeholders to drive the overall architecture and development of PL/SQL code, stored procedures, and database optimizations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design and Architect PL/SQL Solutions: Lead the architecture and design of PL/SQL-based solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements, technical constraints, and best practices.
Database Optimization: Implement performance optimization strategies for complex queries, stored procedures, and functions. Proactively monitor and fine-tune SQL queries and PL/SQL code to meet performance goals.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, developers, business analysts, and other architects to ensure that database solutions align with the overall system architecture and business objectives.
Code and Script Development: Write, review, and optimize complex PL/SQL code, stored procedures, triggers, and views. Ensure clean, efficient, and reusable code that adheres to coding standards.
Database Design: Design and implement logical and physical database models, considering normalization, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
Database Security: Ensure the security of databases by implementing proper data access controls, user roles, and permissions. Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
Data Migration & Integration: Oversee and manage database migration tasks, ensuring smooth data transfers and integration across different platforms and systems.
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Provide expert-level support for complex PL/SQL issues and performance bottlenecks. Lead the resolution of database-related incidents and production issues.
Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain detailed documentation for database architectures, designs, and processes. Establish and enforce best practices for database development and optimization.
Leadership and Mentoring: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior database developers and engineers. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in PL/SQL development.
Stay Current with Technology Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in PL/SQL, database technologies, and industry trends to ensure that the architecture remains scalable, efficient, and innovative.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

10+ years of experience in PL/SQL development and architecture, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or architecture role.
Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL (including SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, Views, Packages).
Extensive experience with Oracle Database administration and optimization techniques.
Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting complex PL/SQL issues.
In-depth knowledge of database design, including normalization, indexing, and partitioning.
Strong experience with data modeling and ER diagrams.
Proficient in Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ), materialized views, and XML processing.
Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques, including ETL processes and integration.
Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
Experience working with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Solid understanding of database security practices, including encryption, data masking, and access controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex database concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure) for database hosting and management.
Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) or Big Data technologies.
Knowledge of Oracle Exadata or other high-performance database architectures.
Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automated database deployment tools.
Knowledge of Java or Python for database-driven application development.
