Position Description:
This position is part of an Application Support team, responsible for ensuring the stability and functionality of core systems and their interfaces. The candidate will provide Level 2 support, manage incidents and service requests, and deliver a high level of assistance to end-users. Activities include monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and escalation when necessary. Support is provided in shifts to ensure continuous service availability.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Main Responsibilities
• Provide Level 2 application support to end-users
• Ensure proper escalation of unresolved issues to relevant teams, following predefined procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service by building and maintaining user trust and satisfaction
• Respect defined service levels and roadmaps
• Maintain and update technical knowledge base and support documentation
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Technical Skills
• Troubleshooting in AS/400 and Unix environments – Mandatory
• Proficient in SQL and data analysis
• Familiarity with production support tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) – Optional but valued
• Knowledge of core banking platforms or similar transaction systems
• Understanding of financial product processing (e.g., investment instruments, loans, deposits, remittances, FX)
• Good grasp of general ledger and accounting flows
Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years total experience in IT roles
• 2+ years in supporting financial applications or similar environments
• 1–2 years of experience performing both first-line and second-line (L1 & L2) support
English – Expert level
