Position Description:

Active NV1, NV2 or TSPV preferred. Australian Citizens eligible to obtain a clearance are also encouraged to apply. The location is Canberra or Adelaide.

As part of that growth, we're expanding our permanent Operations, Intelligence & Capability practice to support a strong pipeline of secured programs, current opportunities and future pursuits across Defence, National Security and Federal Government.

We're looking to connect with experienced operational, intelligence and capability professionals who are interested in joining CGI over the coming months. Some candidates may align with immediate opportunities, while others may be considered as new projects commence. We'll be transparent about where you fit, what opportunities are available and the expected timeframes.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As part of CGI's Operations, Intelligence & Capability practice, you'll help government clients solve complex operational challenges and support the planning, development and delivery of future capability.

Depending on your background and the project you join, you may be involved in:

• Capability development and capability planning.
• Operational planning and mission analysis.
• Intelligence analysis and decision support.
• Operational research and analytical studies.
• Concept development (CONOPS and CONEMP).
• Wargaming, experimentation and force design.
• Strategic planning and policy development.
• Capability integration and operational readiness.
• Stakeholder engagement across Defence, National Security agencies and industry.
• Supporting the delivery of major capability, transformation and national security initiatives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

We're open to candidates at a range of experience levels, from developing engineers through to senior technical leaders. The following would also be highly regarded:
• Experience within the Australian Defence Force, Defence APS, the National Intelligence Community or broader National Security agencies.
• Experience supporting Defence capability, operational planning or strategic decision-making.
• Experience working across complex stakeholder environments within government or Defence Industry.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience translating operational needs into practical capability outcomes.
