Position Description
Network Analyst

Domain: EMS Practice

• Analyst/designer (Intermediate level)

• Telecommunication – Network Management

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Need analyst/designer/tester/integrator with Network Telecom background (e.g. Exposure to Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP))

• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, testing and implementation of integrated solution using 3rd party Network Management software products.

Profile:

• Highly motivated and action minded

• Good verbal and written communication skills to work with the Client

• Eager to learn & explore new telecom technologies

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and is an effective team member and contributor

• Capacity to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively

• Required Work Experience: minimum 2 years’ experience in Network Telecom or Network surveillance

• Optional: Development background will be an asset (XML/SOAP, Python, Kafka, OpenShift, Java, J2SE, JSP, HTML etc…)

Required Level of Education (include certifications):

• Bachelor in Engineering or Computer Science

Soft Skills:

• Self-learner/starter

• Analytical and able to work with a minimum of information.

• Able to clearly communicate ideas and solutions in verbal and written form.

Communication:

• Bilingual. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Telecom concepts, architectures and terminology (NE, EMS, OSS, DSL, GPON, etc)

• Environments: UNIX (Linux, Sun Solaris, HP), Windows, VMWare, OpenShift, Weblogic, Oracle 11, Apache, Tomcat

• Tools: SoapUI, Postman, Toad (or other Oracle DB tools), MySQL Workbench, Eclipse, Rational Rose, SecureCRT (or other SSH tools), MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio), Netcool

• Programming Languages: UNIX shell scripting, Python, Java J2SE, JSP, HTML, XML/SOAP, TMF814/Corba

• Technology: Kafka, Struts, JDBC, MQSeries

• Exposure to Corporate Security governance.
