This diverse role with see you take responsibility for the orchestration and execution of marketing and marketing-related business development activities to generate leads and drive business growth. You will primarily focus on developing and executing strategic marketing plans for our London Business Unit. This role encompasses a wide variety of activities, such as content development, research, partner management, supplier management, digital and social media, PR and events. You will oversee the planning, management and execution of all activity to achieve high quality, effective work, and also measure the effectiveness of all deliverables on an ongoing basis.

This is a hybrid working role with local office attendance. Some additional UK wide travel may also be required. This role may be filled at the Manager or Director level depending on your level of experience and expertise.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
You will work closely with the BU leadership teams, the rest of the UK & Australia (UK&A) MarComms team, and the Global MarComms team on raising market awareness, enabling and supporting business development and developing client relationships to drive pipeline and overall business growth. Reporting directly to the UK&A Marketing Communications VP you will have line management responsibility for any BU specific Marketing Consultant activity.
Key Tasks:
• Plan and manage the timely and cost effective delivery of marketing and communications programmes that support the objectives of the business.
• Develop and deliver the overall marketing strategy to support the BU Business Plan, including developing strategies for positioning CGI as a partner and employer of choice, and ensuring all activities are aligned with the CGI brand.
• Develop relevant content and adopt multiple tactics such as events, digital, social media, sales support activities, client based marketing and deal based marketing to support the objectives of the BU.
• Manage digital marketing campaign efforts including marketing automation, SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing and brand awareness campaigns
• Utilise data-driven insights and analytics to monitor campaign performance, identify trends, and optimise marketing efforts
• Monitor industry trends competitor activities and emerging markets to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage
• Work with the rest of the UK&A and Global MarComms teams to inform, utilise and collaborate on best practice and shared activities.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Marketing Degree, CIM or similar marketing qualification
• Excellent communicator with good verbal and written skills
• Extensive & relevant B2B marketing experience, ideally in the IT or professional services sector
• Possess an understanding of go-to-market strategies, automation and analytics a
• A proven track record of successfully implementing growth-oriented marketing campaigns.
• Strong analytical, administrative and organisational skills and great attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives across a complex business and within this context maintain relationships across all levels of the organisation and manage multiple stakeholders
• An understanding of the Scottish market, both Public and Private Sectors would be beneficial
• Self-starter and proactive - able to work to tight deadlines, sometimes under pressure, and manage a varied work portfolio
• Ability to work in an inclusive manner, team orientated and willing to support others to wachieve their goals in line with CGI’s values.
