Your future duties and responsibilities:

Job Description
Develop End-to-End Product Lifecycle:
• Design and build Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, including data collection, labeling, model training, testing, and evaluation
• Develop, modify, and support in-house applications in close collaboration with data scientists and development teams
• Engage with stakeholders throughout all stages of the application lifecycle
• Design optimal technical approaches to address identified challenges within the organizational framework
Implement and Support Deployment and Maintenance of Models and Software:
• Apply industry best practices to transform developed solutions into production-grade software
• Assist operational teams with deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of solutions
• Promote a data-driven culture within the organization
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in methodologies, technologies, and tools

Main Tasks
• Develop end-to-end data and AI solutions
• Support deployment and maintenance of ML/AI models and software

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Technical Skills
• Ability to interpret and explain model results and influencing factors
• Strong statistical and quantitative analysis skills (e.g., ML models, Bayesian statistics, probability theory, time series analysis)
• Proficiency in at least one ML development framework (e.g., scikit-learn, Keras)
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques
• Programming proficiency (e.g., Python, R, Java, Go) and algorithm design
• Experience with databases and tools (SQL and NoSQL)
• Familiarity with CI tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)

Language Skills
• Fluent English
• French and Portuguese are a plus

Soft Skills
• Creative and abstract thinking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments

Education
• Master’s degree or equivalent from an engineering school or university in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a related field
• A PhD in data science, engineering, or a related discipline is a plus, but not mandatory
Must be physically in Portugal, and a work at the office 3/5 days a week
