Position Description:
CGI is looking for an Information Systems Manager in Charleston, SC. The Information System Manager will assure the delivery of services to the program manager, in support of the government client. They will oversee and manage a team of Systems Engineers, coordinating the daily workload for the engineering team. They will assist in the development and documentation of business processes and development of Standard Operating Procedures. The Engineering Manager will be responsible to communicate status updates to internal and external key stake holders. They will be responsible for overseeing systems, networks, and applications, ensuring they operate smoothly and effectively by managing technical teams, planning and implementing new IT projects, maintaining security, and evaluating technology needs to align with business goals. Candidate will be required to have extensive knowledge of IT platforms and be able to contribute to the completion of contract deliverables.

• System Implementation: Planning, coordinating, and overseeing the installation and implementation of new hardware, software, and network systems.
• Network Management: Maintaining and optimizing network infrastructure, including security protocols, to ensure reliable connectivity and data integrity.
• Security Oversight: Implementing and monitoring robust security measures to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
• Budget Management: Developing and managing IT budgets, including hardware and software purchases, vendor contracts, and project costs.
• Team Leadership: Leading and supervising a team of IT professionals, including systems analysts, network engineers, and help desk technicians.
• User Support: Providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and delivering training on new systems.
• Vendor Management: Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with technology vendors to ensure quality service and timely delivery.
• Performance Monitoring: Evaluating the performance of IT systems, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements.
• Compliance Management: Ensuring adherence to industry regulations and data privacy standards
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Proven ability to effectively manage and lead large teams to successfully execute multiple concurrent tasks.
- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Information Systems technologies, with expertise in areas such as:
• VMware Virtualized IT Infrastructure Components (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX, Aria Operations)
• Microsoft Active Directory Forest/Domain Infrastructure and Group Policy
• Microsoft Exchange
• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
• Host Based System Security (McAfee ePolicy, Trellix)
• Network Monitoring Solutions (e.g., SolarWinds NPM)
• Layer 2/Layer 3 Network and Routing Infrastructure
• Datacenter Backup and Recovery Solutions (e.g., Veeam B&R)
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Credential Management Systems (CMS)
• DoD/DoN Risk Management Framework (RMF) Implementation
• Security Vulnerability Management (e.g., Tenable Nessus & Security Center)
• Endpoint Security and Data-at-Rest Encryption- Capability for conducting independent research from high-level customer technical requirements and translating findings into insightful white papers.
• Able to lift over 50 lbs.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $219,600.00.
