Position Description

The PTF GCSS-A Clerk is responsible for maintenance, supply and property data management and day-to-day performance of operational procedures to manage complex maintenance and supply programs in a US Army training rotation support environment. Must possess Certified GCSS-Army training in Maintenance and Supply. Your future duties and responsibilities
Performs aspects of technical maintenance and supply management work in GCSS-A or offline (e.g., work order creation and management; inventory management; storage management; cataloging; property record management and equipment utilization management) related to the Prepositioned Training Fleet operations, within a framework of established supply regulations and policies and/or US Army Government guidelines
Maintains records of maintenance conducted in a manner consistent with daily motor pool garrison operations using DA PAM 750-35 as a guide.
Requisitions, receives, reconciles, cancels, and controls excess of Class IX parts, bench stock, shop stock, consumable, and recoverable parts. Preforms property accountability actions in GCSS-A.
Manages Class IX parts and recoverable turn-ins IAW guidelines set by AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2-1 and local policy. Prepares requisitions as needed.
Provides GCSS-A data as requested to support training unit.
Maintains Class IX Repair Parts requisitioning supply discipline that includes research of applicable parts manuals for correct National Stock Number (NSN), verification of NSN’s using FEDLOG for recoverability, and applicability for the services tasked and performed IAW Army Supply Policies. Validate the requisitions, with the appropriate Government Representative prior to processing the request through GCSS-A. Ensures that all repair parts required for service or repairs, not on hand, are on a valid Class IX requisition prior to bringing equipment in for repair/service. Intensively manages High Priority Class IX requisitions, maintain status reports daily. Ensures recoverable parts are turned-in within the required timeframe.
Transmits and receive daily status updates from the supporting GCSS-A (Support) Operator every day after the last supply transaction is processed to the supporting Supply Support Activity (SSA) and supply status data is processed back into their box to ensure validity of NMC data in the STAMIS. The Contractor shall ensure that face to face reconciliations take place monthly with the supporting SSA. Ensures accuracy of data on all maintenance and supply related reports.
Reports any assistance required from CSSAMO will be coordinated with the PM for coordination with the COR/ACOR. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
A high school diploma/GED AND 1 year experience are required for this role. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
GCSS-A operators shall be proficient and certified in preparation and management of forms and records required to manage maintenance, control use, and report warranty actions and faults on Army equipment IAW DA PAM 750-8. Must be proficient in automating and processing of maintenance shop production functions, maintenance control work orders and key supply functions.
Must posses Certified GCSS-Army training in Maintenance and Supply functionality.
